| My name is Emily Goff, and I will be a fourth year student at the University of Georgia this coming fall. I am majoring in Spanish and Political Science. I live in Marietta, Georgia where I attend Faith Lutheran Church. At school in Athens, GA, I attend Christus Victor Lutheran Church, where for the 2007-2008 year I will serve as the student-congregation liaison, as well as help out wherever else there is a need. Aside from school and church involvement, I take part in College Republicans, enjoy running, play the piano, dance, and love spending time with friends. I am now serving on the LSF National Council as a representative from region 12. There I sit on the Mission Trips and National Youth Gathering committees and on the Communications standing committee. All will be challenging, but working with many other dedicated, wonderful people will also make it fun! God has blessed me richly with wonderful family and friends who taught me to love the Lord and serve him. My relationship with Christ has grown more intimate and stronger in the last few years, because I have realized that my faith and the time I have here on earth is all about Jesus. He has called me and everyone else to serve him, so I do it gladly. I'm thrilled to be on the LSF National Council, and I look forward to an exciting year. God Bless! |
